A Life Changing Experience - My Educogym Story (by Cian Taaffe)

Last November I joined Educogym with the intention of dropping some weight and in an attempt to get into shape. Little did I know, I was about to go through an amazing transformation physically (something which I had failed miserably at in other gyms and on my own), but more importantly I was also about to undergo a dramatic mental transformation that would vastly improve my life...

23 years old and 220lbs heavy, I was not comfortable in my own skin, and had tried plenty of diets and exercise over the years to get into the shape I wanted to be in, but with little luck. It had gotten to the point where I had given up and had come to accept that I was destined to be "That Fat Guy" for the rest of my life, when one day on my way home from work I stumbled into Educogym and was completely blown away by the Before and After photos I was shown. I didn't hesitate to sign up and less than 2 weeks later I had dropped 13lbs of fat, was feeling great and was only getting started...

I had never considered that I would actually ever excel at anything fitness related, but sure enough over the next few months I was constantly making the gym leaderboard for best results. I was happier than I had ever been, full of energy, had a new lease on life, my friends and family both amazed and greatly impressed at what I had achieved in such a short time, and on nights out women were actually coming up and chatting me up which is something that rarely (actually never) happened to me when I was close to 16 stone...

So things were going great, I looked and felt fantastic, had a new positive energy about me, and a zest for life which up until then had been buried deep under layers of fat, but one thing that was still getting me down was the job I was in - I was merely going through the motions and sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day, entirely unenthused. I had really developed a passion for health and fitness, so when I saw there was job openings with Educogym I decided to apply and a few weeks later I was working with the people that had helped me get my life on track and I was now helping others do the same...

Now that I'm working with Educogym I can see the system not only working for me, but for others as well and it's refreshing to see people get amazing results and turn their own lives around...

The Educogym Book Club: Who Moved My Cheese?

Here at a Educogym we aim to thrive both physically and mentally, and while good nutrition and training may cover the physical side of things, sometimes that mental willpower needs an extra shove in the right direction, so we give you The Educogym Book Club, where we recommend the books that have motivated us and improved our lives. As our first recommendation we decided to go for something simple, that everyone can easily sink their teeth into (no pun intended)! Get reading...

Who Moved My Cheese? An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life, published in 1998, is a  motivational book by Spencer Johnson written in the style of a parable or business fable.

It describes change in one's work and life, and four typical reactions to said change by two mice and two "littlepeople", during their hunt for cheese. A New York Times business bestseller since release, Who Moved My Cheese? remained on the list for almost five years and spent over 200 weeks on Publishers Weekly's hardcover nonfiction list.

Less than an hour's read, the values learned from Who Moved My Cheese? will last its readers a lifetime. It is obvious that the key to the effectiveness of this short tale is its simplicity - Johnson gets his point across by sticking to the bare minimum, in an enjoyable, yet valuable children's style parable for the adult reader.

A truly enlightening story that will change its reader's attitude and zest for life, and whether the principles of Cheese are something you are already familiar with or not, there's a message in the text for everyone...

Proform 100 Raspberry

Our Breakthrough 100% Quality Protein is now available in Raspberry flavour. This is our regular Proform Casein protein blended with Amino Acids to offer you 100% Quality Protein in a delicious shake.
Educohealth PROFORM 100 is the world’s first protein to offer a revolutionary 100% Amino Acid Quality in a single delicious high-protein shake. Traditional high-protein foods – even meat, soya, milk and whey – are unbalanced in Amino Acid Quality so that your body can waste a third or even half of the protein content they offer,  the unused protein then being converted to sugar and contributing to making you fat.

Using our exclusive Proamino-C™ essential amino acid formula, developed in our own laboratories for optimal protein retention, we have taken casein – already the world’s finest anti-catabolic slow-release muscle-building protein – and improved it to the 100% quality level.

Nutritional science has identified egg as the best natural protein, and traditionally all others are measured against it. But egg lacks casein’s high levels of Branch-Chain Amino Acids, its slow-release properties, and its high Glutamine levels, all of which make it especially good for muscle-building.

Now, PROFORM 100 brings you the best of both worlds in a delicious high-protein drink. Now for the first time, your whole body, as well as your muscles and bones, can benefit from a protein that equals both casein and egg in perfection.
